Katie Able Foundation meets with Mark Shriver on Job Corp

Mark Shriver was very pleased to know that the Katie Able Foundation teaches Financial Literacy to Job Corp Youth every Tuesday. Mr. Shriver's father, Robert Sargent Shriver, was the husband of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and was part of the Kennedy family, serving in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. Shriver was the driving force behind the creation of the Peace Corps, founded the Job Corps, Head Start and other programs as the "architect" of Johnson's "War on Poverty" and served as the United States Ambassador to France. Mark Shriver wrote a biography of his father entitled, "A Good Man". The Katie Able Foundation was honored to obtain a signed copy since people like Sargent Shriver are one of the inspirations for why we do what we do.
